From a chance meeting of like minds to a mission of global revolution and over hundred employees in multiple countries, Injala is delivering the future of insurance technology today.
Shortly after Injala began, our mission became clear: to be the global, revolutionary leader in insurance technology. And while we have been self-funded and debt-free since our inception, as we contemplate expansion on a grander scale, for the first time, we are considering financial partners.
To be clear, we're not just looking for partners with deep pockets or big bankrolls.
We envision partners who are as passionate about revolutionizing the insurance industry as we are and who have a complimentary mission that is a natural and enthusiastic fit. But most importantly, we are interested in a relationship that is mutually beneficial, and that will help us both achieve our goals with respect and integrity.
Let's meetThe story of Injala began, as many technology ventures do, with a chance meeting in grad school between its two principals, Hyder Naqvi and James Pitcher.
And in just fifteen short years, Injala has become a pioneering force in insurance technology with a mission to become the global leader.
Injala was formed as a technology services company to provide web development, programming and technology support. As the business grew along with its experience within the insurance industry, Hyder and James became keenly aware of deficiencies in insurance technology, observing that while just about every other aspect of modern business was becoming more technologically advanced, the insurance industry was being left behind, mired in its use antiquated technology and processes, and as a result, becoming less efficient, less adept at minimizing risk, and ultimately becoming less profitable. Where others had seen an industry making little progress and few solutions to change it, Hyder and James saw an opportunity.
That opportunity was realized with Injala's first technology breakthrough, Wrap Portal. A complete RMIS (Risk Management Information System) for OCIP/CCIP Administration that allows administrators to focus on results instead of data entry and processing paperwork, Wrap Portal is a revolutionary system that has virtually automated here-to-fore labor intensive administration, providing integrated communications and vital alerts, direct access for key stakeholders, and has ultimately allowed better decision-making and reduced risk.
For Injala, Wrap Portal changed everything. Relationships with some of insurance's largest players followed, and their status as early adapters and development partners provided feedback that fueled Injala to explore cutting edge technology such as Artificial Intelligence and Direct Object Detection, to improve worksite safety and lower risk, and to implement blockchain security that is the foundation for Injala's newest solution, Asuretify, which will be a game-changing breakthrough in how businesses, governments, and consumers verify insurance.
Let's meetSince the beginning, Injala's success has been predicated on one simple tenet: aim to build relationships instead of just getting clients. Injala's Fortune 500 clients are a testament to the confidence they have in Injala, its products, and the relationship they share.
Let's meetHyder is a seasoned Insurtech veteran with over 15 years of experience in product and business development. He has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and an MBA and Master's in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.
Hyder is the founder of Injala where he worked to architect and develop its original technology. From navigating the complexities of being the youngest in boardroom collaborations with some of the largest players in the insurance industry to building a multimillion-dollar organization with 100+ employees, Hyder runs Injala's daily operations which includes establishing the vision and direction of the company, managing its product and business development strategy, and overseeing execution and implementation. Hyder's personal mission, which is reflected in the enthusiasm of the Injala team, is to lead the evolution in the insurance industry by pioneering new verticals that will change the way the world relates to insurance.
Hyder lives in Dallas and is happily married with two beautiful daughters. Hyder is a big sports fan, regularly follows the NFL and the NBA, and is a big sports car enthusiast.
James Pitcher is no stranger to hard work. Immediately after high school James enlisted as a helicopter mechanic in the Marine Corps where he developed a desire to become a helicopter pilot. To accomplish his dream, James joined the Army and before long was flying Hueys in Colorado Springs, and Blackhawks in South Korea and at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he continued until his military retirement. After the Army, he trained pilots at American Airlines for a number of years.
Although James recognized and cherished his accomplished flying record, his determined spirit was calling him to apply his experience in a new career—project management. It was while he was pursuing an MBA in project management that he met Hyder Naqvi, Founder and CEO of Injala.
The two shared a number of classes and quickly found they worked well together. Hyder's technical prowess combined with James' skill at simplifying and communicating difficult technical concepts led them to determine theirs was a match worth exploring.
When Hyder approached James with a proposition to start a company, without hesitation James responded, "Hell yes!"
James currently lives in Dallas where he enjoys walking around his neighborhood and sampling new restaurants in the area. He also enjoys traveling the globe in his spare time.
